As we close in on the last few weeks of summer, I can’t help but want to spring forward into all the fall fashion. However, the temperature outside is not always in line with extra layers and fall boots. So I thought it would be fun to show you can how you transition your summer wardrobe with ease. Below you’ll find 10+ summer to fall transitional looks. I’m showing you how you can take a wardrobe staple like a summer dress, bodysuit or even tank and wear it into the fall and winter!

Here I’m taking this gorgeous floral print silk midi dress and styling it for summer and fall. I would wear this now with sandals and a great pair of gold statement earrings. Once your ready to transition into fall, add a denim jacket and these Steve Madden booties! To round out the look add a felt hat to give it fall vibe. This dress is one of those that you can easily dress up or down. Pair with heels and a clutch for a fall wedding or sneakers for a day running errands.

Another easy summer to fall look is to take your favorite mini skirt and pair with a tank and sandals for now. You could do a matching set or just opt for a sweater tank. As the temperature drops, add these suede Olly boots and a cream sweater to give it a fall feel. I recommend doing a small front tuck to give yourself a more defined waistline. To accessorize the look you could add a knotted pearl headband or a great fall hat!

A wardrobe staple of mine that I never see to put away no matter what time of year it is, is a great basic tee. I especially love this one because you can easily knot the front. Pair with white shorts and embellished sandals for a casual summer look. Later, break out your most flattering mom jeans and slip on suede mules. If it’s a little on the cool side, layer a grandpa cardigan over the top for added warmth.

Don’t say goodbye to those summer dresses just yet! If you have a few dresses within a warmer color pallet those are perfect to wear well into the fall. I like to keep it simple with sandals and a summer bag for now and booties for later. You can even layer a cropped sweater over the top of a ribbed dress like the on pictured on the right! Or if your dress already has sleeves like the one on the left, you can pull them off the shoulder for summer and leave them up for fall. Simply add a wide brim hat to round out the look!

Although it’s still warm outside, my go-to travel look all year long is a cozy oversized sweatshirt. I’ve been wearing mine with biker shorts and white sneakers for the summer. However, you can easily pair with leggings and a cue pair of tennis shoes for the fall!

I also love to transition my tops and sweaters into fall as well. You can easily pair these with white denim shorts or a white denim skirt and sandals for now. Pair with a quilted handbag or even a straw one for a more summery look. Then later break out a great pair of flare jeans or even black skinny jeans for a more fall feel. Pair with mules and a fall hat to complete the look!

Finally, I’m showing you how to take a bodysuit from summer to winter. I love a bodysuit with mom shorts or even skirts! Here I’ve styled it with denim mom shorts and these fun pink sandals. I’ll wear this same bodysuit with a bold colored sweater and high waisted jeans later. I love that it stays tucked in and I don’t have to worry about anything shift throughout the day!
