Spring weather is officially here and today I’m sharing the top 15 spring wardrobe essentials for 2021. This is essentially your spring capsule wardrobe since you can mix and match so many of these pieces – they are truly the best spring wardrobe staples. Every year I look over what I currently have in my spring wardrobe and do a closet cleanout. Once I go through what I no longer love or just items that show wear, I create a list of must have items. This can be anything from tops, skirts, dresses, and even handbags, and shoes. I’ll be sharing my spring wardrobe essentials from each category so I’ve got you completely covered!
So here is my curated list of favorites for your spring wardrobe essentials for 2021 (or any year!)
SPRING WARDROBE ESSENTIALS
One: Basic Tees + Elevated Tees
Basic tees and tees with elevated design (i.e. crochet lace, ruffle sleeves etc) are important basics since these are great outfit starter pieces. There are endless ways to style these tees- from denim jackets to ruffle skirts and more! They really are the best base for so many casual outfits. I’m pretty picky over the fit and have found amazing quality ones too. This one from Nordstrom is my absolute favorite. See my faves below.
Two: Denim
I love getting a few extra new pairs of denim to start spring (or really any season) especially white denim. White jeans can tend to look worn a little faster than blue denim. I absolute favorite pair of white jeans are from Walmart from the Sofia Vergara line. I always get so many compliments on them and they pretty much go with so many tops in my spring wardrobe. I also found so many cute pairs of denim shorts – these are great to have as the weather gets warmer into spring. Three: Shoes
One of my favorite categories is shoes and can practically write an entire blog post dedicated to this. So to keep it short and sweet, I’ve rounded up just a few of my top picks so it’s not too overwhelming. Stay tuned on my YouTube channel for my spring shoe guide – love sharing this every year!
Four: Denim Jacket
If there’s one item I recommend the most, it’s a denim jacket. Finding the right one with the perfect silhouette and wash can be tricky. A few years ago, I stumbled upon this one and have been styling it SO much ever since. Best part is they brought it back in stock this year!! It runs true to size.
Five: Skirts
Skirts are personally one of my go-to pieces for spring. I love styling them casual to dressy. There are so many ways I love styling them – but most of all I tend to make them more casual for everyday. I do this be pairing it with a tee and sneakers. I just love the balance of the girly, dressy skirt with a casual tee and white sneakers! Below are some of my favorites including some ones that remind me of LoveShackFancy.
Six: Pull On Shorts
Pull on shorts are great to wear now in spring and throughout summer. I love them since they are comfy yet chic. I recently found this pair from Abercrombie and they pair perfectly with tank tops, tees, open knit sweaters.
Seven: White Tops
You cannot go wrong with a white top – specifically white eyelet tops since they are so feminine and are an easy outfit piece to throw on with denim shorts. I recently found so many cute white eyelet tops from dressy to casual and everything in between – also at all price points.
Eight: Straw Hats
One way to instantly elevate any spring outfit is with a straw hat. I have acquired quite a few in my wardrobe over the years and the two I’m linking below are my favorites. One is a boater style hat and the other is a classic round straw hat – you cannot go wrong with either!
Nine: Undergarments
One item that may not come to mind right away when you are thinking of your spring wardrobe are undergarments. With spring fashion comes lightweight tops, fitted dresses, white bottoms and keeping things as seamless as possible helps keep any lines from showing through. If I can recommend one bra it would be this one from Soma, it’s wireless yet provides support. Also, these seamless underwear are great with white jeans or light colored, fitted dresses.
Ten: Loungewear
I recently found some super cute and comfy lounge – this floral set is just the cutest and it just screams spring to me! Whether you’re running errand or going for a walk, these are super cute lounge sets where you will still feel put together!
Eleven: Dresses

There are so many great options when it comes to spring handbags – the two I found are both under $100 and $500. The first is this straw crossbody and holds quite a bit! Fourteen: White Sneakers
I decided to add these to their very own category because they are such a good spring wardrobe essential to wear with denim shorts, skirts, and even dresses! Whether it’s a t-shirt dress or dressy casual dress – I think they are a great way to add an unexpected twist to the outfit.
Fifteen: Sunglasses
Not only are sunglasses a chic statement to any outfit, they are very functional an necessary to protect your eyes! I do love to splurge on them every once and a while, but I also love some that are under $50 so I don’t have to worry about protecting them in case I drop them etc.
