Striped Sweater (on sale!!) | Cream Beanie | Refined Hunter Boots (on sale!!) | Gucci Belt
One thing that is sure to brighten a rainy or snowy day are Hunter boots. Not only do they look cute, but are quite practical. Today I’m here to share 5 style and care tips for your Hunter Boots. Whether you may want to switch up the way you style them or they are looking a little ‘cloudy’ and need some TLC, ready below for my best tips!
One: Pair Them With a Dress
Most of the time I find myself wearing Hunter boots with jeans. They are still super cute that way but I think pairing them with a dress is an unexpected option! Check out the dresses below that I think would look great with them.
Two: Keep up With Cleaning Them
I learned this tip the hard way because I let me red glossy Hunter boots go after many uses without conditioning them. If you already own Hunter boots you may know about the cloudy film that forms called blooming which is expected. Although, my other two pairs, grey and pink, did not get this way which I am not sure why just the red did. However, if this happens I have tried two ways of cleaning them. First method I tried in which Hunter Boot themselves recommend is this sponge. I did a demo on my YouTube channel below. It did work but was very time consuming. I also tried per one of your recommendations is olive oil on a paper towel and that worked much easier. (Note: if you are trying olive oil only use a very small amount and of course don’t use on the bottom. Also, not sure how long the olive oil trick works)
Three: Go Neutral or Add a Pop of Color
As much as I love a pop of color, have a neutral pair can be a chic addition to your shoe collection. Whether it be grey, black, or navy blue I love how classy they look! On the other hand, It’s nice if you can get a second pair to go with a fun color- especially red. Looks great with an all neutral outfit or for the holidays. I also adore my pink pair of course 😉 especially in the spring!
Four: Add Warmth
One downside to wearing Hunter boots in the winter is that they don’t provide warmth. There are two ways to fix this, I personally wear fuzzy socks and love these for just $8. Also they sell shearling inserts too which I have never tried but heard great things about it! Keep in mind, this may alter the fit of your shoe especially if you have a wider foot or have the refined version.
Five: Try Different Silhouettes
When I first looked at Hunter boots I never realized the different silhouettes i.e. regular, refined etc. I suggest the refined fit if you have a narrow foot or calf. I think they look much more streamlined that way.
