Affordable Fall Outfit Ideas from Amazon
Corduroy Skirt with a Sweater
look 1: sweater | skirt code LACEANDLASHES for 15% off your order | boots | (similar) hat
look 2: sweater | boots | purse | headband | necklace
Starting off with a sweater and skirt outfit. This is a great transitional look for summer to fall, and a great option to wear out to dinner or other casual events. This corduroy skirt was from my summer to fall looks try-on haul. It’s from Petal and Pup, and you can always use my code for 15 percent off your purchase there (LACEANDLASHES). The cream cable knit sweater is a classic piece that fits true to size. I love it paired with this skirt and tucked in slightly. I finished the look with a neutral bag and booties. The booties fit true to size and are on major sale right now. They come in four other colors or prints, and will last you throughout the season and years to come for their quality.
The brown chunky sweater has a loose silhouette without being super casual and undone. It looks pretty paired with this skirt, but would also look great with denim or even over a dress. These brown booties fit true to size, and love the gold detailing around the heel. They also come in black and are under $80.
Denim Jeans with a Scalloped Sweater
look 1: sweater | jeans | boots | dior purse | headband | heart bracelet
look 2: added lightweight puffer coat
This darling sweater has scalloped detailing around the wrists and the bottom of the sweater. I show the bottom in my YouTube video, but prefer the look of the sweater tucked in. Tucking it in creates a more put-together, sophisticated look. It runs a tad small, so I’d suggest sizing up one. These Wal-Mart jeans are mid-rise, and love the little rolled cuff at the bottom. The cuff makes these jeans perfect to wear with all different styles of booties. And I like the distressed detailing at the knee for a more casual vibe. Plus they’re under $30! I finished the look with a faux leather headband. It’s a great fabric and texture for the fall season, and know I’ll wear it on repeat.
In the second look, I added a lightweight puffer coat. It comes in about 16 other colors, and a great transitional jacket as the weather starts to cool down. You’ll definitely need a heavier coat for true winter weather, but love this option for a casual fall coat. It fits true to size and has invisible, functional pockets on each side.
Denim Jeans with a Slouchy Sweater
sweater | jeans | booties | (similar) hat | tote
Up next is this camel-colored sweater with a v-neck. It fits true to size and comes in several other colors. I paired it with these Wal-Mart jeans, and added a felt hat. It’s a bit longer in the back than in the front, so it’s a great option to wear with leggings to give you the coverage you need. I finished the look with this adorable work tote from Nordstrom Rack. I featured this bag in my latest Nordstrom Rack video, so check that out if you haven’t already. It comes in a few other colors and under $45. It has two different carrying options – two handles or a single strap to wear as a crossbody. The perfect tote to carry to work or class.
Pink Smocked Dresses
dress 1: dress | sandals | headband
dress 2: dress | heart bracelet
The first dress is a transitional fall outfit idea. Throughout September and even October, there are still some warm days and think you could wear this dress on those warmer days. It runs true to size and love how stretchy the top is – very comfortable. I paired with with my pearl-studded sandals, which are a great summer-staple shoe. You could also pair this dress with knee-high or over-the-knee boots for added coverage. I finished the look with a pearl headband and a heart necklace, which is also from Amazon – under $15.
The second dress is a midi dress, and gives you a bit of extra coverage on your legs as it starts to cool down. This would be a beautiful option to wear to a September or October wedding. You could pair this dress with booties or a block heel, depending on where you’re going. I love the ruffle detail around the sleeves and the neckline. The sleeves also have a dot detail for an extra feminine touch.
Lounge Outfits with Joggers
Look 1: sweatshirt | joggers | slippers
Look 2: zip-up jacket | sneakers
I love a cozy lounge look, and both of these outfits are great for lounging at home and running errands. The first look features a crewneck sweatshirt in a blush pink color. You can size up for a nice oversized fit or get your true size for a more structured fit. It doesn’t have a fuzzy material on the inside – definitely a lighter sweatshirt. The joggers are by Barefoot Dreams. I purchased the pink ones a while back and loved them so much that I grabbed the black too for a more neutral color. I found the cross band fuzzy slippers that have memory foam for extra support. They’re great quality for the price point.
The second look features a rose-colored zip up. It’s a great light jacket to throw on when you’re headed to the gym or for outdoor walks. The jacket has two small pockets to throw your keys and phone in and comes in a few other colors. I finished the look with one of my favorite pairs of sneakers. They’re a crisp white with bronze-colored Adidas stripes down the side. They’re very lightweight and great for walking or running errands.
Fall Dresses with Knee-High Boots
Look 2: dress | (similar) hat | purse
This floral dress has a faux-wrap style and a snap closure at the top to keep the chest area secure. It has a good amount of stretch around the waist for added comfort, and love the flutter sleeve detail. This dress is feminine and the pattern is such a fun fall pattern. I finished the look with my go-to, knee-high boots. But you could also pair the dress with mules or booties.
The burgundy dress has a beautiful silhouette and love that it has long sleeves for those cooler days of fall. This would be fun to wear to a winery, birthday party or date night. It comes in so many other colors and patterns to match your personal style. I finished the look with my pink and brown crossbody bag.
sweater dress | boots | purse | (similar) hat
A cozy sweater dress is a must-have for fall. The quality is very plush and soft, and like the length of this dress. I’m 5’7″ and think it hits perfectly to style over-the-knee, knee-high boots or booties. The ribbed detail gives the dress some interest and texture and has a good amount of stretch to it. This dress runs true to size, and paired it with my felt hat, and a small crossbody bag.
Workwear/Dressy Fall Fashion Outfits
Look 1: blouse | pants | (similar) pumps | work tote
Look 2: dress | block heels
If you’re in need of a great workwear look, this first outfit is perfect. The blush pink flutter sleeve blouse is a great quality top to pair with trousers, skirts or shorts on the weekends. It would be great to wear on Zoom calls too because the flutter sleeves are easily visible and are a pretty feminine detail. I paired it with paper bag pants from Express, but also love these paper bag pants from Amazon. I finished the look with neutral pumps.
This wine-colored ruffle dress is beautiful for the workplace or for a fall wedding guest option. The high-neck line gives you a good amount of coverage if you’re wearing to work. The ruffle sleeves and hemline give it a dressier look. The wrap in the middle of the dress is sewn on the side, and you just tie the bow on the other side of the dress. I paired it with my scalloped block heels. I actually wore these in my brother’s wedding and wore them all day. They’re so comfortable and a great neutral heel.
Fall Mini Skirts with Sweaters
Look 1: sweater | suede skirt | boots | (similar) hat | crossbody bag
Look 2: sweater | floral skirt | booties | heart necklace
This is a quintessential fall outfit – an oversized sweater and mini skirt moment. This sweater is the same one as the brown sweater that I paired with the pink corduroy skirt. Again great to pair with different things like skirts, denim jeans, black jeans, maxi skirts or over a dress. I paired this deep wine-color sweater with my brown suede skirt. It’s fun to have a mix of skirts with different textures for the fall season. I finished the look with my knee-high boots.
This off-the-shoulder sweater with the ribbed detail is flirty and fun. But you could wear it up on the shoulder as more of a boat neck. I paired it with this floral skirt that’s a new arrival at my boutique, Carin Rose. It has a stretchy smocked waistband to front tuck sweaters, or you could pair it with a bodysuit and denim jacket.
