Chanel Mini Flap Pearl Crush Review
Detailing and Color
The beautiful detailing of this bag was what caught by eye originally when I saw it. I’m a sucker for all things girly and feminine and love the oversized-looking pearl that’s attached to the chain. It has the Chanel logo embossed on the pearl, and you can press that logo to adjust the strap to be shorter or longer. I love the versatility of that feature because with the other flap bags, you only have the option to double the strap or wear it as one long strap. Depending on your height, that might be really convenient for you.
Chanel calls the exact color that I have beige, but it’s actually more blush pink in person and a great neutral color to have. If I were to design a Chanel bag, I would pick this exact color with the gold detailing. The inside is the same color as the outside. It’s made of lambskin, which is a little more delicate than my other Chanel bag that’s made of caviar leather.
I also saw online that the colors black, white and light grey are available too. They’re preloved, and tend to go fast though!

Sizing of the Bag
This mini bag is 7.75″ across, 4.75″ high and 2.25″ deep. To be honest, I was a little worried about the size originally. This is my first mini-size purse from Chanel. I have a small flap bag, which is the next size up from the mini. This is a great bag for evening or special occasions. Additionally, it’s nice to have if you’re just going around the city and don’t want something too bulky. The Pearl Crush is the perfect size for carrying your essentials. I’ll go into more detail about what you can fit in the purse below.
Will It Color Transfer or Scratch?
The small caviar leather bag I have is a very light beige – even lighter than this one. However, I’ve never had a color-transfer issue and I’m not concerned with this one either. But I’m a little concerned about the Pearl Crush scratching because lambskin isn’t has durable as caviar leather. So I’ll just have to be careful with that.
What I Carry in My Pearl Crush
I’m very impressed with what you can fit in this mini purse. What you like to carry as essentials in your purse might be different than mine, but here are a few things I like to carry in this bag:
- iPhone – I love this rose case!
- Small wallet or card holder
- Lipstick: my go-to is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk. But also recently got this one in shade 48, and wearing it in the YouTube video
- Car keys
- Hand sanitizer
- Scrunchies
- Sunglasses
- Hand lotion
- Perfume
I can’t necessarily fit all these items in the bag at once. For instance, I can fit a small wallet, my iPhone, lipstick and car keys in at once. OR I can fit a cardholder, iPhone, lipstick, car keys, scrunchies and hand sanitizer inside the bag. By switching out the small wallet for a car holder, you free up a lot of space to fit other essentials you might want in there. I like to strategically place the items inside the purse too for easy access. What I mean by that is nothing is laying on top of each other. Therefore, it’s easy to see everything that’s in the purse when I open the flap.
