Recently, I’ve been reflecting a lot about my life. Life as a fashion blogger and dance teacher…. There are a few other pieces of the puzzle that aren’t quite there yet and sometimes I feel like things need to be on a certain timeline like others. It’s hard not to play the comparison game but I think everyone of us has done it one time or another. It can be easy to get yourself stressed about things not happening when you want them to. I mean, I love my two current jobs right now: teaching dance and fashion blogging. (Side note: I am so thankful for all of you that have helped make this blog pretty much a full time job right now.)
Sometimes I focus on what I don’t have. One of those things is my health. For those of you who don’t know, I have Crohn’s disease. So for me, it can be hard to see my friends doing X, Y, or Z and I just can’t. I want to do a whole post about this so look out for this soon!
What I’ve been realizing lately is that I should be content with what I have/am doing right now. Not that I should stay in my comfort zone and try to expand on everything I love doing but I need to remind myself to be patient and enjoy life the way it is now. Enjoy teaching my students the art of dance, enjoy sharing my fashion & beauty posts with all of you, enjoy my amazing family and friends.
So if you are having some of the same thoughts as I have been lately, we just need to remind ourselves that where we are at this current place and time is what’s meant to be. That’s at least what I believe and I need to remember that. Find your passion or if you know what it is then just do it and incorporate it into your life. But don’t stay too comfortable for too long—we always need to keep growing and becoming a better person than we were yesterday and expanding on our passion(s). Create a life you love—doesn’t mean all the pieces of the puzzle must fall into place now- just enjoy the journey!
