If you follow my Instagram, you know I recently went to Charleston, SC on vacation. The time I was there was certainly not enough to cover all that Charleston has to offer! I have to say, Charleston is one of the most charming, gorgeous cities I’ve ever seen. Today I want to share some highlights of the trip and one of the outfits I wore… there will be many other Charleston outfits coming soon so stay tuned!!
Food
I want to talk about the food because it was up there in some of the best tasting food I’ve ever had. I saw Julia Engel’s (from Gal Meets Glam) Charleston guide and she recommended 167 Raw. It was the best food ever to say the least. I ordered the chips & guacamole, cold shrimp, and a sweet tea for an appetizer. The food was SO fresh and all homemade. And the sweet tea was just very lightly sweet which was so light and refreshing. As my entree I ordered the shrimp taco- again it was so delicious! I don’t think you could go wrong with anything you order there.
Next, from my family’s recommendation we went to The Vendue Rooftop Bar one night. The views are gorgeous and the food is great too!!! We had drinks and I got a flatbread pizza!
Another recommendation I tried from Julia’s Guide is the Sugar Bakeshop. Both my parents and I stopped in and got some treats before the ride home. This little bakeshop is decorated so cute, they also have a little patio outside to sit down and enjoy your treats. I got two mini cupcakes: the vanilla and strawberry. So fresh and not too sweet either! Definitely recommend trying them out if you live there or visit!

Shopping & Things To Do
The first day we took a walk down King Street and there were tons of shops. There was even a marketplace full of vendors and food too! They have woven baskets, paintings, clothing, Christmas ornaments, and just lots of items to remember your trip. I also recommend you just take a walk through the Historic District and see all the beautiful homes. I was crushing on this one home that was blush with a white marble step… Total home goals!!

My outfit…
Now let’s talk about this dreamy floral dress… I wore this for most of the day we went to the Charleston Market and 167 Raw. It’s so comfortable and love how it has a midi length slight high-low ruffle hem detail. This dress is so versatile from day to night- for a more even casual daytime outfit- top it with a denim jacket for a laid back look. This dress fits true to size and not too fitted for it’s very forgiving with the fit.

I hope you enjoyed my mini review of Charleston. As I said the time I was there was nearly not enough to just scratch the surface of what you can do in the city! I would love to hear your favorite restaurants, shops, and things to do in Charleston!
