My style is generally classic and feminine. However, I do like mixing fashion trends with timeless pieces in my wardrobe. With a healthy balance of both, you can create fun, fashionable looks for all occasions. Today I’m sharing five wearable fall trends that you’ll be able to wear for many fall seasons to come.

Five Wearable Fall Trends
I like to get longevity out of the clothing or accessories that I add to my closet. I don’t like spending money on something – especially if it’s a high-end piece – only for it to go out of style the following year. But I do think the below trends are here to stay for years to come. Adding a few of these trends to your closet will not only elevate your look, but create a unique style that you’ll feel confident and sophisticated in.
Faux Leather in the Fall Season
Leather (and suede) have always been a popular fabric to wear throughout the fall and winter. It’s a functional material because it’s warmer than most other fabrics, and on-trend. I bet if you ask your parents if they had a leather or faux leather jacket as a teen or young adult, they would tell you they did. But this fall season, I’m seeing a lot more leather in pieces I haven’t really seen before, like this pleated skirt. I’ve seen fitted leather skirts in previous seasons, but this year there are voluminous skirts made of leather or faux leather. It’s a little unexpected, but a beautiful trend that I enjoy wearing.
And of course, you can never go wrong with the Spanx faux leather leggings. Those have been a popular item for the past several years, especially in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I love pairing oversized sweaters and boyfriend blazers with leggings throughout the fall and winter.

Pretty Blush Tones
If you ask me when blush is in-season, I’d say all year round. 🙂 But I really love wearing it in the fall and winter. It’s a beautiful color to pair with white trousers for work. Winter sweaters have some beautiful textures like waffle knit, cashmere and ribbed that look beautiful with a blush-tone color. I honestly think of it as a neutral because it pairs well with so many different colors: navy, white, brown, black, cognac – you name it. I like wearing blush in my accessories too like in hats and purses.

Cozy Oversized Knits
Oversized sweaters are easily dressed up or down. This sweater style pairs well with the faux leather leggings we talked about earlier. Another fall uniform that I wear on repeat is an oversized sweater paired with denim or black skinny jeans and booties. Add a felt fedora hat to the look for an effortlessly chic and casual look. You can also wear an oversized sweater with a fitted leather mini skirt or a pleated midi skirt. Just front tuck the sweater into the skirt to give the look more structure. You can even add a belt to the skirt to break up the look.

Crystal Embellishments to Elevate Any Outfit
A little sparkle never hurt anyone. Crystal embellishments is quintessential holiday parties. But you can even pop crystal into your casual, everyday looks. These beautiful headbands or hair clips are fun to wear to change up your hairstyle. Plus it keeps your hair out of your face at work or school. If you’re going to a holiday party or fall or winter wedding, these shoes would be perfect to pair with your outfit.
Style tip: Pick either an accessory or one piece of clothing to wear the crystal embellishments. You don’t have to overdo it. A simple pop incorporated somewhere on your look is the perfect amount for on-trend style.

Feminine and Classic Cutouts
Cutouts have been a trend for the past couple years, and give a feminine, flirty touch to any look. I also like that the cutout breaks up the texture of the shirt, blouse or sweater you’re wearing. If you’ve never worn a cutout blouse before, try wearing one that has a small cutout to try out the trend, like this bodysuit.
Bodysuit tip: If you like the fitted look but not so much the snap, simply tuck the two ends into your pants. They’ll stay put even if you don’t snap them.
