Glammed Up Casual Look

I’ve never really been a sneakers kind of girl until I found these dusty mauve velvet sneakers! When I saw they were mauve, velvet with satin lace-ups I knew I had to have them & create a look for my nyc trip.  They are so darling and I knew they would be perfect when walking around New York City all day.

After walking in them for most of the weekend, I can now say they were a dream to walk in and were incredibly comfy! No blisters and I didn’t have to break them in.  They are true to size.

This super chic and cozy jacket was so cozy and kept me so warm!! The sherpa jacket was a bit out of my comfort zone…  The main thing about this jacket or with any piece you are unsure of… is to wear it with confidence.  If you are doubtful of it and let it show- the jacket will ‘wear you’- you need to own it with a smile!

I wanted to talk about the fit- it’s over-sized fit so it’s very forgiving. The sizing is XS/S and M/L. The color seems to look slightly different under certain lights. Outside and in the store when I bought it, it had a hint of a dusty mauve to it… but sometimes I look at it and see more beige so it really will vary!  Underneath is a grey tee which is old but I love this one from Club Monaco and it’s under $40 or this Madewell one under $20!
