How to Elevate Your Fall Wardrobe

I’m all for a cute top and jeans outfit but some days I want to elevate my look to a little more something glam and editorial. This ruffle top, which is a twist on a classic striped button down shirt, fits the bill for that extra something. I absolutely adore this top and could go on and on about it… the ruffle sleeves, the wrap around waist (which gives you shape!!), and the bow detail.

This top is everything and I think it’s a definite must-have in your fall wardrobe if you want a break from your go-to tees. I wanted to add that this top can be worn two ways: regular on the shoulders as you would any other top or for a nighttime look, place it off the shoulder before you tie it. It just gives that effortless, undone vibe. I also wanted to add, this top comes in four colors: black or navy gingham and blue or pink striped. Note: the top ‘color’ I’m wearing is a soft grey (with a little bit of blue) but the website says it’s a black stripe… so if you want the one I have, order the ‘black stripe’.

Now to style it, you can always go with jeans since this top is just that versatile or since we are talking about elevating your wardrobe, this black, faux leather pleated skirt is a winner. I got this exact skirt last year in burgundy and I loved it so much I bought the black. There is no need to tuck this shirt into the skirt– just let it flow right over for that undone look.

Tiered Bell Sleeve Top: True to size — wear xs… love the wrap around feature so you can make it tighter or looser around the waist

Pleated Skirt: This skirt fits true to size for this brand– I’m wearing the 00 for reference and I’m 5’7″

Rockstud Pumps: Size up a half size — I’m wearing the 8.5 and actually ordered this size at first because they don’t carry this shoe in an 8 for some reason so I just went up a half size and it fits perfectly!
