4 Styling Tips on How To Wear Culottes

One trend I’ve never tried before and I wish I would have sooner is the fabulous culotte pant. They are the ultimate chic addition to your wardrobe. *insert heart eye emoji here* They can be intimidating but if you follow a few styling tips you will be wearing them on repeat! (And I have to add… they are super flattering and slimming!!)

Here are some styling tips/ideas:

One: Go Bold

Get a printed pair like the ones I’m wearing and keep the rest of your outfit understated. After all, these are meant to be a statement and I LOVE these from the Lauren Conrad Runway collection. The print makes a statement yet still is girly & feminine.

Two: Go Monochromatic

You can also get a solid color and achieve a chic and sleek look with a matching top in the same color.  I think ivory on ivory would be stunning!! This would for sure update your dress pants for work.

Three: Get the Right Top

Since I like a tucked in look, I’ve tried on many tops with these and the one thing you have to be careful of is bunchy fabric.  There’s nothing worse than having these really cute culottes and to find a bulky section on your waistline- super unflattering! I would suggest light, chiffon-like fabric to tuck in or even better if you have a bodysuit! This ivory one I’m wearing is so versatile that I can wear it with printed culottes or a pair of ivory culottes for an entirely different look.  Win! Would totally recommend the one I’m wearing!

Four: Own It

Whatever trend you try, you have to own it.  If you feel silly in an outfit, it will not look nearly as good if you are confident wearing it.  Not everyone is going to love everything you wear; so as long as you are happy with your outfit, that’s all that matters!
