Whenever I get a question or comment, 9 times out of 10 it’s regarding my hair… ‘How do you curl it?,’ ‘Do you color your hair?,’ ‘How do you grow your hair so long?’
Today I’m going to chat more about how I grow my hair long AND healthy! The latter is super important because they go hand in hand and the last thing you want is long hair with split ends and breakage. Today I have 3 tips that can help you achieve longer, healthier hair.

One: Reduce the Heat
One tip that I try to follow is to limit the amount of heat you put on your hair. Every time you straighten, curl, or even blow dry your hair no matter how expensive the heating tools are, heat is heat and is very damaging to your hair if done daily. If you use heat on your hair everyday try a different second day hairstyle, wear a hat, or use dry shampoo to liven up your hair the second or third day!
Two: Go Longer Between Washes
This goes hand in hand with the other tip and that is to try not to wash your hair everyday. The oils your scalp naturally produces nourishes your roots and this is the best treatment you can have on your hair. If you know you are not going out and having a day in, then let your hair go and don’t put any products in to give your hair a break. I do struggle with this one because my hair gets very oily by the afternoon of the second day so dry shampoo becomes my best friend in this case! I definitely need to work on training my hair to get to 3 days between washes!
Three: Get Frequent Trims
It seems counterproductive but this is what keeps your hair much healthier as you try to grow your hair out. Try about every 2 months.
Stay tuned on my YouTube channel where I will share 2 more tips later this week!!
Have a great week loves!
