Last week, my mom and I headed down to Palm Beach, Florida, for a few days. We ate some amazing food, did a little shopping and squeezed in some rest and relaxation too. My family visits Palm Beach often, and are familiar with the area. So I thought I would share a travel guide to Palm Beach at Christmas to give you some ideas with places to eat, things to do and places to stay.
Speaking of the holidays, last week I posted a holiday tablescape inspiration in case you’re having guests over. It’s a mixture of blush, gold and cream tones, and I also share three easy recipes to serve your guests.
Travel Guide to Palm Beach at Christmas
Where to Stay
The Colony Hotel
The Colony Hotel simply put is chic! Their one-of-a-kind bold colors and majestic prints throughout the hotel are enough to make you fall into interior-design heaven. The Colony offers a wide-variety of options for room accomodations, and provide transportation to the beach. It’s more of a boutique-style hotel where no two rooms are alike. Plus they have a charming pool too. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The Breakers
The Breakers is where we stayed this last time we went to Palm Beach. This hotel looks very stately with the appearance of historic architecture, yet has all the modern amenities you could ever want. This hotel is located right on the beach, if you prefer that. For the adventurers, they offer kayaking, paddle boarding and Catamaran cruises to name a few. Plus it features four pools and five whirlpool spas.
Things to Do in Palm Beach
Shopping and Eating in Royal Poinciana Plaza
Amazon Sweater Top | Floral Skirt | Loeffler Randall Sherpa Commuter Pack (similar here)
Shopping on Worth Avenue
The shopping on Worth Avenue is a must-do when you’re in Palm Beach. It’s such a charming area and close to the beach. They have designer brands like Chanel, Saks and Lily Pulitzer, along with super cute small boutiques. It’s a great mix of high-end, and locally owned.
Visit Local Beaches
When we visit Palm Beach, we typically do a beach day or two. Like I mentioned earlier, if you’re staying at The Colony, they provide transportation to the beach. If you’re staying at The Breakers, they have their own private beach you can just walk out to.
Go to the Spa
The Breakers has a fabulous indoor-outdoor spa that offers many different types of treatments and spa-experiences. Is there anything better than visiting a spa while you’re on vacation?
My Favorite Restaurants
Pizza Al Fresco on Worth Avenue
Pizza Al Fresco has a beautiful outdoor dining space, and the vibe is laid back and casual. If you love a lobster roll, they have the BEST one. It can be served sandwich or salad-style. Plus they have a variety of yummy pizzas, salads, sandwiches and Italian entrees. They also have gluten-free options. It’s the perfect spot to stop while shopping on Worth Ave.
Swifty’s at The Colony Hotel
Swifty’s recently opened this location at The Colony Hotel this year. It’s original and iconic location was located on the Upper East Side in New York, but closed in 2016. Now Swifty’s is in sunny Florida, serving up lunch and dinner. You don’t have to stay at The Colony to eat here, and you receive free valet for eating lunch at the location. They have amazing sandwiches, salads and more! It has the prettiest view/vibe with lots of girly touches. And their decor is by Serena & Lily!
Sant Ambroeus at Royal Poinciana Plaza
I originally ate at the Sant Ambroeus NYC location, and the Palm Beach spot is very similar! It’s located at the Royal Poinciana Plaza, and they have the BEST pasta (gluten free options too) and salad with grilled chicken! They also have a great breakfast menu. If you need a quick pick-me-up while shopping, it’s the perfect dessert and coffee spot too! You can eat outside with a beautiful view.
Celis Produce at Royal Poinciana Plaza
If you love acai bowls, you’ll love Celis Produce located at the Royal Poinciana Plaza. They also offer juices, smoothies, local coffee, sandwiches, salads and breakfast options. It’s the perfect afternoon snack break spot while doing some shopping!
The Seafood Bar at The Breakers
If you are a seafood lover, The Seafood Bar at The Breakers is a must-visit restaurant! It has a modern-casual vibe with a beautiful backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. The seafood club sandwich and lobster coleslaw are my must-try foods! You don’t have to stay at The Breakers to dine here. They don’t accept reservations, but we never had to wait to be seated.
The Ocean House at The Breakers
The Ocean House at The Breakers is another great lunch spot if you’re staying at The Breakers. It overlooks two of their pools. I had the Tuscan grilled chicken sandwich and was amazing!
This is what I wore when traveling to Palm Beach. It’s comfortable and the perfect travel outfit.
