A chambray piece in your spring and summer wardrobe is essential for many reasons… first being that it’s a light-weight fabric for those really warm days. It also is a very comfortable fabric to wear and it’s usually so soft- especially this lace-up dress I’m wearing!! Since this chambray dress or (any top, pant etc) is something that you’ll be wearing on repeat you might be wondering how you can wear it different ways! Today I’m sharing 3 ways to style chambray dresses. All outfit details are linked at the bottom of the post!
Just a quick note about this specific dress: I am wearing an XS (Tall)… it’s about an inch or two difference in length if you are taller or like a longer dress. I’m 5’7″ for reference. They carry this dress in petite, regular, and tall.

One: Pop of Color
This is the route I chose to go for this cute little lace-up chambray dress. I don’t know what it is but a pop of red is my go-to. Red lip, red bag, red shoes… all of it! I especially love it with the chambray dress and it makes it very Americana… this would also be a super cute outfit for 4th of July or a summer BBQ too! I would also love to style this dress with a pop of pink…
Two: Accessorize
Aside from your bag and shoes, think about adding a hat, skinny scarf around your neck, or some fun jewelry like tassel earrings. I’m just staring to get into the neck tie trend and think it adds a fresh touch to any outfit. I think this one and this one are adorable.
For a hat you can go one of two ways: a boater hat or a baseball cap.

Three: Layer
A long cardigan, moto jacket, or military jacket would layer nicely with this shift dress. Not only can you wear these layers the regular way, you can also tie them around your waist for a super casual look. With this red look I went for, I think a navy striped hoodie tied around the waist would look so fabulous!
