What I Packed for Palm Beach + Must-Know Packing Tips

After a year of lounge pants and zero travel, I have to admit, I’m super excited to be hopping on a plane and go places again! I’m headed to Palm Beach for the week and though it would be fun to share what I packed for Palm Beach, my 5 must-know packing tips and easy, comfy travel day looks. 5 Must-Know Packing Tips

TIP ONE: try on outfits and snap a photo beforehand with all accessories to avoid overpacking or under-packing.

This also takes away so much stress when you’re getting ready on vacation because you alreadh have pre planned outfits. I aways try to bring pieces that I can mix and match just in case I don’t feel l like wearing a pre planned outfit one day!

TIP TWO: collect items on a garment rack in advance

Having all your items hanging on a clothing rack allows you to be able to see exactly what you have. It helps you to easily be able to build outfits and see if you may have over or under packed. I personally love THIS ONE from Target.

TIP THREE: utilize packing cubes

These are essential for saving space. They allow you to stay organize and ensures that your items don’t get all shifted around in route. You can use them to pack by type or item or you can organize your outfits into cubes. This will probably depend on how many days you’re going to be away and how many outfits you have.

TIP FOUR: roll your clothing to avoid wrinkling

You’ve likely seen Marie Condo do this on her Netflix show, but she’s truly onto something here. Rolling your items helps with wrinkling but it also helps to save space. Another bonus is that you can more easily see all of your items in a single snap shot. Which keep the digging to a minimum when you’re trying to find an item in a pinch.

TIP FIVE: utilize small travel containers

This forces you to downsize beauty items, which helps not only save space but limits the weight of your bag as well. This might be a must if you’re traveling by plane, but I recommend doing this no matter what!

I’ve had the Delsey luggage set for years and and they’ve held up great. I was hesitant to invest in them initially because I was worried about the white getting dirty when I fly. However, anytime I see a scuff, I take the magic eraser to them and it comes right off. I love just how well designed the inside is and the hard case works great with the packing cubes.

I also love the Stoney Clover pouches anytime I travel. This pink one is perfect makeup or toiletries and even comes with a built in mirror. They are so fun and come in a ton of colors. I love that something so practical can also be pretty! These are great for keeping everything organized. You can also use the to throw in your carry on so that you aren’t trying to dig through your bag for essentials.
