Last week on the blog, I shared 10+ holiday outfit ideas to wear to festive events happening throughout December. Today, I’m sharing winter wardrobe essentials from glamorous party dresses to casual, laidback looks. This post is filled to the brim with different outfit ideas. Most of these pieces are from Bloomingdales because they’re having their friends and family sale. The sales takes 25% off select items through December 15th.
Winter Wardrobe Essentials
Winter Sweater Dresses
Sweater dresses are great options for everyday wear throughout the winter. They can be dressed up or down, depending on where you’re going. I love the blush-pink color of these dresses, and they pair well with boots, mules, flats or sneakers.
Next, I accessorized with a pearl headband and a variety of quilted crossbody bags.
Special Occasion Looks
These looks are great to wear to a holiday party. But what about those events that don’t really fall into the “holiday” category throughout the winter? Things like weddings, baby or wedding showers.
The floral tiered mini dress is a beautiful pop of color for the winter. And the tiered skirt gives the look a gorgeous feminine detail. Finally, I accessorized with my new Lele Sadoughi x Stoney Clover headband.
This floral applique fit-and-flare dress is a stunning option for a winter wedding. And it features a v-neck and a v-neck back, and has two cutouts on the sides.
A little sparkle never hurt anyone, and this skirt delivers. The chic black is perfect for winter and love that it isn’t fitted for a fun and flirty vibe. I paired it with a pink, feathered clutch for a pop of color.
Casual Outfits and Cozy Sweaters
I’m loving Bloomingdales sweaters and cardigans included in the sale. From big-button cardigans to oversized, comfortable sweaters, they have a sweater to match anyone’s personal style.
This ruffle cardigan caught my eye because of the ruffle detail running down both sides. I think this is perfect for everyday wear, like running errands. Or paired with trousers and pumps to wear to the office.
Next, nothing is more classic than winter white. One of my favorite purchases recently from Bloomingdale’s are these white leggings to pair with oversized sweaters.
Therefore, in the first look, I opted to wear a pearl flat with the pants for a more casual look to wear out to lunch or brunch with your girlfriends. The second picture features this gorgeous, cutout sweater that comes in a variety of colors. The cutout is only on one shoulder which I thought was unique to most other cutout sweaters I’ve seen recently. The monochromatic look of the white on white is on-trend, and paired the outfit with these slip-on embellished high heel sandals.
And finally, if you’re looking for a great everyday outfit to wear, then look no further than this one. The gray 3/4-length sleeve sweater has a tiny ruffle detail on each sleeve, which gives it interest. Then, I paired the sweater with high-rise jeans and these pointed-toe bow flats.
Winter Coats
It’s not winter without a great wool winter coat. This style of coat is great to wear to dressier occasions throughout the season like to church, work or a wedding. I recently rounded up a variety of coats on my blog. You can find that HERE.
